An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Planning & Environment Lawyer (1–3 years PQE) to join a highly regarded specialist team within a leading Sydney firm.

Working within a dedicated Planning Law team (part of a broader Property & Planning group), you will act on a diverse mix of matters for:
High-end developer clients
State Government agencies
Local councils
The practice has a strong pipeline of work across both litigation and advisory matters, making this an ideal role for a junior lawyer looking to build a well-rounded planning career.
While the position is based in the Sydney CBD, flexible and remote working options are available, alongside structured progression pathways.
You will be involved in a broad mix of planning and environmental law work, including:
Drafting Land & Environment Court documents (Class 1–4 appeals)
Appearing in the Land & Environment Court and other jurisdictions
Advising on strategic planning and development matters
Assessing environmental impacts and regulatory considerations
Supporting clients through ADR processes, including mediations
Drafting planning agreements
Undertaking planning and environmental due diligence
You will work closely with a respected senior partner while also gaining exposure to other senior lawyers across the team.
This role will suit a lawyer who is eager to grow within a specialist planning practice. Ideally, you will have:
1–3 years’ post-admission experience
(planning experience preferred but not essential)
Litigation/disputes experience with a strong interest in planning law
Excellent drafting, research and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for the work
