An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning & Environment Senior Associate to join a highly regarded legal practice known for its strong reputation across construction, property and insurance, with a growing presence in employment, safety, banking and finance, corporate and commercial, and disputes. The role
Conducting litigation in the Planning and Environment Court
Drafting infrastructure agreements and statutory instruments, including local laws and planning schemes
Advising on all aspects of planning, environment and local government law
Supporting proponents on the delivery of major development and infrastructure projects
Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers
Contributing to ongoing professional development within a leading Melbourne practice
About you
4+ years’ PQE with solid experience in planning and environment law
Strong attention to detail and high-quality drafting skills
Proven ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
Exposure to business development and confidence building strong client relationships
Practical, client-focused problem-solving approach
Clear, plain-language communication style
Interest in establishing a long-term career within a collaborative firm
