Are you a high-performing Legal Secretary or EA who thrives on more than just "the basics"? We are looking for a Practice Executive to join a heavy-hitting Melbourne team focused on the global transition to Net-Zero and major infrastructure developments.
This isn’t a back-seat role. You will be the commercial engine room for three high-profile Partners, acting as a genuine extension of their practice. We need someone who loves the thrill of high-stakes projects, enjoys building authentic relationships with Tier-1 clients, and wants to lead by example.
Working at the intersection of Project Finance, Infrastructure, and Energy, your role is divided into three key pillars:
1. High-Level Practice Management
The Gatekeeper: Proactively manage complex, ever-shifting diaries and high-volume inboxes.
The Travel Expert: End-to-end management of intricate domestic and international travel itineraries.
The Financial Controller: Lead the monthly billing cycle, expenses, and sophisticated client/government reporting.
2. Client Engagement & BD
Go beyond the "cc" line. You will get to know the clients, understand their businesses, and grow a network of professional relationships with your counterparts in major global organisations.
Assist in drafting high-stakes presentations, pitch documents, and marketing collateral.
3. Leadership & Collaboration
Lead by Example: You are the senior point of contact for the team.
TA Mentorship: Partner with a dedicated hub of Team Assistants, delegating administrative tasks and mentoring them to ensure seamless service delivery.
We are looking for a "career EA" who is energized by complex work and high-level stakeholder management.
Experienced: You have a solid background as a Senior Legal Secretary or EA within a mid-to-top tier law firm.
Commercially Savvy: You don’t just "do" the work; you understand the why. You can interpret data, understand practice drivers, and anticipate what a Partner needs before they ask.
A Relationship Builder: You genuinely enjoy the "people" side of the job—from internal stakeholders to C-suite client contacts.
A Problem Solver: You have a high degree of initiative and a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude.
