Senior Associate / Lawyer – Professional Indemnity (5+ PAE)

The Opportunity
A highly regarded national practice is seeking a talented lawyer (5+ PAE) to join its Professional Indemnity team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex matters for a diverse client base, in a supportive environment that values excellence, collaboration, and balance.

The Role
You will:

  • Provide clients with clear, commercially focused legal advice on professional indemnity matters

  • Manage and run files autonomously, including large and complex disputes

  • Review case law and legislative developments to keep advice current and accurate

  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, and legal opinions to a high standard

  • Mentor and support junior team members

  • Engage in client relationship management and contribute to business development initiatives

  • Balance a busy caseload while maintaining high-quality client service and responsiveness

About You

  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong background in professional indemnity litigation

  • Proven ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a cohesive team

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

  • Confidence in managing high volumes of documents and complex issues

  • Strong communication skills with a plain-language style and client-first mindset

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to deliver practical solutions and manage client expectations

  • Interest in contributing to business development and fostering long-term client relationships
