About the Role
We are currently partnering with a highly-regarded, premier national law firm to secure a talented Property Associate for their high-performing team in Brisbane. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to step into a position that combines top-tier, complex mandates with the supportive, collegiate environment of a true leading mid-tier practice.
Reporting directly to a leading Partner who is a recognized market authority in Queensland property law, you will step into a sophisticated and well-established pipeline of work. This position is designed for an ambitious lawyer ready to take on greater file autonomy, deep client interaction, and structured, long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Property Transactions: Manage a diverse portfolio of complex commercial, industrial, and large-scale residential property acquisitions, disposals, and master developments.
  • Commercial & Retail Leasing: Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated agreements for lease and leasing suites, acting for high-profile institutional landlords, corporate tenants, and major developers.
  • Development & Projects: Assist on major infrastructure, urban renewal, and construction projects, including drafting project delivery agreements, joint venture documents, and complex easement/title restructuring.
  • Due Diligence & Advisory: Conduct comprehensive property due diligence and provide practical, solutions-driven advice on planning, structuring, and relevant state taxes and duties.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, including listed property funds, private developers, and government entities, maintaining a seamless, high-touch relationship.

About You
  • Experience: 3–5 years of Post-Admission Experience (PQE) specializing in property law within an Australian private practice environment.
  • Technical Excellence: Strong foundational knowledge across commercial property transactions and leasing, backed by sharp drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial Mindset: Commercially astute with a practical, solutions-focused approach to complex legal problems.
  • Attributes: A confident and collaborative communicator who thrives in a team-focused environment and is eager to build long-term client relationships.
  • Admission: Current Australian Practising Certificate and a strong academic record.
