Location: Melbourne CBD & Hybrid
Work Type: Full Time
Classification: Legal – Property Law
Are you a high-caliber Property Lawyer at a National or "brand-name" Mid-Tier firm looking for more than just a high file load?
Join one of Melbourne’s most respected and active property practices. This isn't your typical "grind" culture; you will report to a market-leading Principal in a collaborative environment that prioritizes direct client contact and a transparent, merit-based track to Partnership.
This practice is celebrated for its ability to secure "top-tier" quality work while maintaining a genuine commitment to staff well-being.
The "6-Hour" Difference: A manageable budget of only 6 billable hours per day.
True Flexibility: Modern hybrid model with 2–3 days WFH per week.
Incentives that Matter: Beyond a competitive base, enjoy a merit-based KPI bonus and a percentage-based referral bonus for any work you bring in.
Industry-Leading Support: 1:1 mentorship from top-tier Partners and a generous 16-week paid parental leave policy (currently under review to increase).
Active Culture: Whether it’s the Running Club, Tennis Club, or our championship-level Netball team, there is a massive social scene for those who want it.
You will manage an exceptional breadth of matters, ranging from high-volume residential developments to complex commercial mandates:
Property Development: Lead end-to-end projects including off-the-plan structuring, titling, and subdivisions.
Transactions: Manage mid-to-large scale acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial, and retail assets.
Leasing: Draft and negotiate sophisticated retail and commercial leases for landlords and high-profile tenants.
Strategic Advice: Provide high-level guidance on PEXA transactions, duty implications, and regulatory compliance.
We are looking for a proactive, "client-first" practitioner who enjoys a social office culture.
Experience: 3–7 years PQE within a broad property law practice.
Pedigree: Currently working within a National law firm or a recognized "brand-name" Mid-Tier practice.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience across leasing, development, and general commercial transactions.
Bonus Points: Pre-admission experience in property or conveyancing is looked upon very favorably.
Academics: A strong academic record and a desire to refine your commercial skills.
If you are looking for a firm that treats you like a professional rather than a billing machine, we want to hear from you.
