Property Lawyer/Conveyancer

Property & Conveyancing Lawyer

About the Role We are currently partnering with a highly respected, long-established firm in Revesby to secure an experienced Property & Conveyancing Lawyer. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable, high-performing practice that has built a stellar reputation across Sydney for over four decades.

Reporting directly to the founding Partner and a senior leader within the team, you will take lead carriage of a busy and diverse property portfolio. The firm prides itself on its close-knit, supportive team environment and its deeply loyal, multi-generational client base. This role is ideal for a practitioner who enjoys running their own files autonomously while maintaining a high level of direct client contact.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Conveyancing: Manage residential and commercial property conveyancing transactions from initial contract drafting through to electronic settlement via PEXA.

  • Commercial & Retail Leasing: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and retail leases, acting for both local landlords and business tenants.

  • Property Advisory: Provide practical, client-focused advice on complex property matters, including subdivisions, easements, covenants, and put-and-call options.

  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and financial institutions, ensuring a high-touch, professional service.

  • Workflow Efficiency: Supervise and work collaboratively with dedicated secretarial and paralegal support to ensure seamless transaction management.

About You

  • Experience: 2–5+ years of Post-Admission Experience (PQE) specializing predominantly in property law and conveyancing within an Australian private practice.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of NSW property law, retail leasing legislation, and absolute confidence using PEXA and modern practice management software.

  • Autonomy & Drive: Proven ability to run a high volume of files independently from day one, with sharp attention to detail and strong time management skills.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with an approachable, empathetic manner that aligns with a trusted suburban practice.

  • Admission: Current NSW Practising Certificate.

The Firm & Culture Founded in 1984 by two high school friends, this firm has evolved from a shared vision into a powerhouse of trusted legal advice in South-West Sydney. Across their core practice areas—including property, commercial, litigation, and a rapidly growing family law sector—they maintain a steadfast commitment to excellence, integrity, and mutual respect. You will join a warm, stable, and genuinely collaborative team that values longevity, works hard, and celebrates collective success.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive Remuneration: An attractive salary package benchmarked against competitive regional standards, tailored to your experience.

  • Direct Mentorship: Work closely with highly experienced leaders, benefiting from decades of collective legal knowledge and strategic mentorship.

  • File Ownership: Enjoy the freedom and autonomy to manage your own practice stream with the full support of a dedicated clerical team.

  • Work-Life Balance: A welcoming suburban practice structure that respects your time out of the office and avoids the grueling hours of CBD firms.
