The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Associate to join our market-leading Real Estate team in Melbourne. This role has arisen due to an internal secondment to our London office and offers the chance to step directly into a thriving practice with significant responsibility and client exposure from day one.
This position is suited to those who have already achieved promotion to Senior Associate level — it is not open to Senior Solicitor applicants.
The Role
As part of a top-ranked national and international Real Estate practice, you will:
Advise on large-scale capital transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and investments across premium office, retail, industrial and mixed-use assets
Work closely with leading developers, REITs, institutional investors, private equity firms, and major corporates
Draft and negotiate transaction documents for high-value and complex matters
Collaborate across the firm with colleagues in corporate, finance, tax and projects to deliver seamless, strategic outcomes
Have the opportunity to contribute to mentoring and supervising junior lawyers within the team
About You
We are seeking a Senior Associate with:
Strong experience in capital transactions within the real estate sector gained at a top-tier, mid-tier, or recognised boutique firm
A proven ability to manage complex transactions with multiple stakeholders
Strong technical skills coupled with a commercial and pragmatic approach
First-class drafting and communication skills
A proactive, collaborative mindset and the confidence to take ownership of matters
