In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive, high-level secretarial and administrative support. You will be the "right hand" to Senior Partners, ensuring the seamless management of high-profile matters.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end File Management: Managing complex dispute files from inception through to trial and settlement.
Document Preparation: Formatting and editing voluminous legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and court bundles.
Court Filings: Managing electronic filings across various jurisdictions (Federal and Supreme Courts).
Brief Preparation: Compiling and indexing extensive briefs to Counsel.
Financial Administration: Handling monthly billing cycles, expense reconciliations, and time entry.
Stakeholder Management: Liaising professionally with clients, Counsel, and opposing firms.
To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive professional who anticipates needs before they arise. You will bring:
Proven Experience: A strong background as a Legal Secretary within a Litigation/Disputes practice is essential.
Class Action Knowledge: Previous experience or a strong understanding of Class Action proceedings will be highly regarded.
Technical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite and experience with legal practice management systems.
