We are seeking an experienced Tax Litigation Lawyer to join a high-performing, well-regarded Tax Controversy team in Sydney. This is an exceptional opportunity to work directly with a nationally recognised specialist on major ATO disputes and strategic advisory matters for top-tier clients.
You will be involved in complex and high-profile tax litigation and advisory work, including:
Ongoing transfer pricing disputes
Diverted Profits Tax assessments
Anti-avoidance matters, including Part IVA
Hybrid mismatch rules and financing structures
Source and permanent establishment issues
Intellectual property migration
Cross-border M&A transactions
You’ll manage key aspects of files, work closely with senior experts, and engage with major corporate clients across global industries.
3–7+ years’ post-admission experience in tax disputes, tax advisory, or broader commercial litigation
Strong understanding of federal taxation law
Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment
Interest in working on high-stakes, cutting-edge tax controversies
Exposure to some of the most challenging tax litigation in Australia
