Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Wills & Estates | Sydney
An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer to join a highly regarded private client practice in Sydney.
Working closely with a respected senior practitioner, you'll play a key role in advising a broad range of clients on complex estate planning, business succession and deceased estate matters. Depending on your experience and interests, you may also have the opportunity to work on estate litigation matters.
This position offers significant client contact and the autonomy to manage sophisticated matters while contributing to the development of junior team members. You'll also be encouraged to build your profile through business development initiatives, client presentations and thought leadership.
The role
- Advise on complex estate planning, business succession and deceased estate matters.
- Work directly with individuals, families and business owners on a diverse range of private client issues.
- Manage matters with a high level of autonomy.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers within the team.
- Contribute to business development through networking, presentations and client publications.
About you
- 5+ years' post-admission experience in Wills & Estates, with a strong focus on estate planning.
- Experience in estate litigation, probate, estate administration, taxation or related private client matters will be highly regarded.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Excellent drafting, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice.
