Senior Associate – Wills & Estates (10+ PAE)

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer (10+ years PAE) to join a highly regarded boutique law firm with an established and growing private client practice.

This is an opportunity to work alongside recognised specialists on a broad mix of estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation matters. You'll manage your own files with a high degree of autonomy while enjoying the support of a collaborative, experienced and genuinely down-to-earth team.


The Role

Working across a diverse client base, you will advise on a broad range of matters including:

  • Estate planning and succession strategies
  • Estate administration and probate
  • Estate litigation and family provision claims
  • Superannuation and trust disputes
  • VCAT and related succession matters

You'll enjoy significant client contact, manage matters from commencement through to resolution, and have the opportunity to further develop your practice within a respected team.


About You

To be successful, you will have approximately 10+ years' post-admission experience specialising in Wills & Estates and be confident managing complex matters independently.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Strong experience across estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation
  • Excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills
  • The ability to identify issues early and provide commercially practical advice
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Confidence running matters autonomously while working collaboratively within a team
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers
  • An interest in contributing to business development, networking and practice growth
  • A positive, approachable and commercially minded attitude

Lawyers who have trained within well-regarded private client or specialist Wills & Estates teams will be particularly well suited.
