The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Associate (7+ PQE) to join a respected plaintiff personal injury team in Sydney CBD. This role offers the chance to lead complex personal injury litigation, including historic dust diseases cases, and contribute to a high-performing, supportive practice.
The Practice
You will work closely with a recognized expert in personal injury and dust diseases claims, trusted by clients across metropolitan and regional NSW.
The team is known for delivering practical, compassionate, and high-value outcomes, often on a “no win – no pay” basis.
Matters include common law negligence, catastrophic injuries, dust-related diseases, medical negligence, superannuation/TPD, public liability, motor accidents, and insurance disputes.
The Role
As a Senior Associate, you will:
Lead high-value personal injury claims, including dust diseases litigation, catastrophic injury, and medical negligence matters.
Draft pleadings, affidavits, expert reports, negotiation strategies, and trial submissions with precision.
Manage litigation from strategy through resolution, including ADR and trial preparation.
Engage with clients, medical experts, and counsel to build strong cases.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior lawyers and support the growth of the team.
About You
To excel in this role, you'll have:
7+ years PQE in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.
Demonstrated capability in complex tort matters such as dust diseases, negligence, TPD and medical negligence.
Sophisticated drafting, strategic thinking, and advocacy skills.
A pragmatic and client-centered approach, with capacity to lead matters with minimal supervision.
Strong mentoring skills and enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative, high-achieving team.
