An excellent opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations & Safety lawyer to step into a senior role offering early client exposure, genuine influence on matters, and a clear pathway for career progression.
This position sits within a high-performing and growing team advising a diverse mix of government and commercial clients across Australia. You’ll work on complex and often high-profile workplace matters while building strong client relationships from the outset.
The opportunity
You will join a collaborative Workplace Relations & Safety practice advising across the full spectrum of employment and safety matters, both contentious and non-contentious. The team works closely with clients to deliver practical, commercial solutions and is regularly involved in complex and sensitive matters, including high-level investigations.
Key aspects of the role include:
Advising on complex workplace relations and safety matters
Acting on both contentious and advisory employment issues
Involvement in workplace investigations and strategic advisory work
Leading matters and engaging directly with clients
Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience handling contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Broad expertise advising on workplace relations and safety issues
General litigation experience (highly regarded)
Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and lead matters
A collaborative approach and interest in mentoring
Enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of the practice
