Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Workplace Relations & Safety | Melbourne | 5+ PQE

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced employment lawyer to join its Workplace Relations & Safety team in Melbourne. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of matters, including industrial relations, health and safety, investigations, and employment law, advising a broad client base of corporate entities, insurers, and government authorities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, such as enterprise bargaining, unfair dismissal claims, workplace investigations, and safety compliance issues.

  • Provide strategic advice on workplace relations, industrial relations, and safety law, including employment aspects of commercial transactions.

  • Collaborate with clients across various industries, delivering tailored legal solutions.

  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional growth.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment and workplace relations law.

  • Proven ability to handle complex employment matters independently.

  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
