Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Workplace Relations & Safety

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to manage matters across the full spectrum of workplace relations and safety law. You’ll be part of a high-performing, growing team working on both advisory and contentious matters with autonomy to manage files from instruction through to resolution.

Key areas of work include:

  • Fair Work Act compliance and workplace advice

  • Employment contracts and disputes

  • Managing ill and injured workers

  • Restraint of trade advice and disputes

  • Termination and redundancy processes

  • Discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying claims

  • Workplace investigations

  • Transfer of business issues

  • Industrial relations and enterprise bargaining

  • Work health and safety investigations and prosecutions


About You

  • Experienced lawyer at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level

  • Significant experience across both advisory and litigation matters in Courts and Tribunals

  • Strong client relationship management skills and commercial acumen

  • Passionate about workplace relations and safety law

  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior lawyers

  • Enjoys working directly with clients and contributing to a collaborative, supportive culture
